The
Management
Despite
many setbacks the School suffered in its long and chequered
history, the School is now determined and poised to forge
ahead confidently under the new Management of Dharapal Satyapal
Charitable Trust led by Mr. Ravindra Kumar and Mr. Atul Jain, Mr. I. C. Ahuja and Mr. Narain Prasad
to restore its lost glory and provide high quality education
to children of Delhi.
From the very beginning, the Anglo Sanskrit Victoria Jubilee
Senior Secondary School had the privilege of being guided
and led by eminent citizens of Delhi with commitment and vision.
According
to the present Scheme of Management, the DSC Trust (sponsored
by Delhi's leading and famous Corporate House - Messrs.
Dharampal Satyapal Limited who is also patronising hospitals)
appointed the eminent persons from different walks of life to
look after the affairs of the School.
The Management
maintains cordial relationship with all the wings of the School
- students, staff, Parents-Teachers Association, former students,
and the Directorate of Education. They all work in unison to
ensure the welfare of the School. For this, regular periodical
meetings of the Managing Committee are held to take stock of
the School activities. The
Management believes in the dictum "Coming together is a
good beginning, staying together is progress and working together
is success".
Results of Board Examinations are the yardstick to measure the
success of any school. Better results boost the morale of the
students and the teachers. There is no admission test and all
boys from its feeder school, namely Anglo Sanskrit Primary School, Ballimaran are accommodated. There has been a perceptible improvement
in the results after the new Management took over the School.
To
raise the academic standards, the Management holds regular meetings
with teachers. A similar exercise is also done with the teachers
of the feeder primary school.
Teachers
are the backbone of any educational institution. The Principal
and teachers are allowed to function unencumbered without any
interference in their day-to-day functioning. No post is left
vacant and promotions are made well in time. Teachers are honoured
on Teachers' Day every year by Parents-Teachers Association.
The students
and teachers are encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular
activities round the year to develop and enhance their skills:
English medium section was introduced
in classes VI to VIII. Mathematics and Social
Studies workshops were arranged at the initiative of The manager
Mr. I.C.
Ahuja (a keen Mathematician and ex-Principal of
Commercial School).
Besides
achieving academic excellence, the School had also earned a
name for its extra-curricular activities and performances in
games, sports, scouting, debates, essay writing competitions
and science talent search tests. The persons who occupied the
chair of Principal were instrumental in shaping and moulding
the School. Their contribution to the development and growth
of the School, braving obstacles and hardships, is unforgettable.
An institution
is not a mere structure of bricks and mortar alone. Its foundation
is laid by persons associated with it - the staff, students,
management, parents as well as the former students - all working
in tandem to lift the School to greater heights.
The Mathematics
teacher, Dr. Pramod Kumar Singhal, who took over as Principal
in April 2006 is at present the pivot of the School. Ever since
he assumed charge, Dr. Singhal has been strenuously striving
for further improvement and progress of the School.
