ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
During the last 136 years,
the Anglo Sanskrit Victoria Jubilee Senior Secondary School
has produced hundreds of eminent citizens. In the absence of
old records, we are unable to give an exhaustive list of the
old names. But among its alumni are persons like Mr. K. B. Lal,
a former Defence Secretary, Govt. of India, Dr A. K. Walia,
Minister of Finance, Delhi Government, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, former
Health & Education Minister of Delhi, former Member of Parliament
Shri Jai Prakash Aggrawal, Rai Jugal Kishore, one of the founders
of Indraprastha Girls' School, Poet Afzal Peshawari, renowned
cardiologist Dr. K. K. Aggrawal of Heart Care Foundation, four
international cricket umpires and many others.
The School Alumni Association has been revived and a Directory
of former students. ‘Alumni Directory 2006’ was released in
the Alumni annual function ‘Sanskar 2006’ held on 30th
Nov.2006.
Objectives and Activities
1.
For Development of Infrastructure in the School
a) To develop an Audio - Visual Room in the School.
b)
To provide aid to the library for the purchase of new books
and study material for the students.
c)
To enhance the facilities for computer training and computer
aided learning in the School.
d) To develop more facilities for sports and games in the School
which is so much essential for the all round development of
the students.
e)
To construct a music room in the School.
2.
For Students
a) To institute scholarships and awards for meritorious students
both in the field of academics and in co-curricular activities.
b) To create funds for the special coaching of meritorious students
to prepare them for different competitive examinations.
c)
To sponsor higher education of extremely brilliant students.
d) To arrange the extra classes for weak students.
e) To arrange for the books and uniforms for the students belonging
to economically weaker section.
f) To establish a career counseling corner in the School.
g) To arrange hobby classes (drawing, painting, music, dance, games
and sports) and personality development classes for the students
after the normal working hours.
h) To arrange regular health check-up for students and teachers.

For Staff
a) To honour the retiring staff members.
b) To arrange seminars workshops and symposia in different subjects
to enrich, update and enhance the knowledge of the teachers.
c) To honour meritorious staff members for their achievements in
curricular and co-curricular activities.
4.
Promotion of Social Welfare Schemes
a) To arrange for Blood Donation Camps in the School.
b) To create awareness in the students regarding dreaded diseases
such as AIDS, Polio, Leprosy and T.B.
c)
To create awareness in the students about social evils such
as illiteracy, dowry, increasing population, gender inequality
etc.
d) To develop the bond of love, sympathy and fellow feeling amongst
the members of the fraternity to enable them to grow together.
